 How do I know which one to buy? We worked on all Brands/Models of the walk-behind trimmers and many other old models. Showing here for you to read on. We bought these machines and they all brand new. We opened them up one by one, made videos showing the inside and outside of the trimmers parts, components. Learning, and inspecting the parts, components inside/outside, to see how they connect and function. See the difference between each brand/model. We did this because we need to know how to mount our product “the AWAP‘ to these walk-behind trimmers. AWAP is an aluminum plate, equipped with a 5″ caster swivel wheel. It can be installed to any walk-behind trimmers, regardless of what brands/modes of the trimmers. We worked on them, made the AWAP for each brand/model, and tested them all with the AWAP on them. 1. The Craftsman, Poulan Pro, Husqvarna, Hyundai, McCulloh these machines have the same body-frame, just different colors, accessories, and components. 2. The Cub Cadet, Yardman, Yard Machines, Remington has the same body-frame. 3. The Ariens, Field Edge, Snapper, Troy Bilt have the same body-frame. 4. We live in a rural area and have the opportunity to test drive a few walk-behind trimmers. There are a lot of these machines in this kind of area. I like them all. Check out lawnmower shops nearby you, they sell new, used. They will let you test drive in their shop backyard. You will not be able to test at ‘Home-depot, Walmart, Lowes, or Sear, etc.’ If you need to ask sale-person at retailers. Ask them if they own or test the machine. f the answer is yes, Ask them how many different ones, did they test? The best thing to do is to ask owners of these machines. Owner of the walk behind string trimmer are disappointed They are enabled to use the machines for a long period, but a short time. Maybe 20 minutes or a little more. They have to stop the machine because tired, aches on their body, arms, legs, and their back.  The reasons are: _ These machines ride on the back two-wheels and heavy, hard to balance. _ You have to push down constantly on the handlebar, to raise the spin-cup above the ground. _Believe it or not. This is the only way to move the machine. _ You can not achieve evenly cut ‘height’, because the spin-cup is at an angle, not parallel to the ground. Notice on the left photo I have to push down on the handle-bar constantly to move. Right photo, see how flat the trimmer sat on the ground? Spin-cup is 1/2″ above the ground.
